Photoshoot of a restoration project – Eames Lounge Chair
Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing a fully restored Eames Lounge Chair and it turned out pretty well. Instead of shooting the chair on a black or white seamless I decided to use the worn down wooden studio floor. All those cracks, scuffs and dents work really well with the wood and leather of the chair. And yes…it is extremely comfy.

A bit of nostalgia here, let’s rewind to August 2012
You’ve got to start somewhere and nothing is more intimidating as photographing your very first fashion shoot. So we kept things as simply as possible with a bullet-proof 3 way light set-up and a stack of vogue magazines for posing inspiration.
Thanks to Sophie Harrison for her patience and for being such a good mind-reader when it comes to nailing a pose. A rare talent.

Rynhart Bronze sculptures are known and admired the world over. The company, started by Jeanne Rynhart’ in 1981, continues to enjoy success, today through expansion and adaption and anticipating market trends. In 1994 Audrey Rynhart joined her mother and now she and her husband Les Elliot run the business from their studio in Glengarriff, West Cork. Each piece is individually hand made. The process is labour intensive and starts with delicate, careful modelling. When Audrey is happy with the model a mold is made and cast in bronze. Finally, the piece is polished and finishing touches added.
Within the range there is something for everyone. From contemporary to traditional, from small pieces to larger lamps and objets d’art. A Rynhart Bronze is the perfect gift for any occasion, either to mark an important event or to buy for yourself or for a loved one.
